Introducing Sustainable Housing

We want our Tenants to give a daam about where they live.

This is why we track resource usage, collaborate with neighboring businesses, and implement energy conservation techniques to keep costs manageable, rent affordable, and living enjoyable.

The Manor

This is The Manor - our comparable property for Giveadaam Ventures. It was built in 1952 and definitely was not constructed with energy efficiency or sustainability in mind. Since the Fall of 2016, The Manor has been a home for many college students and young professionals.

The Manor is approximately 1,500 square feet. It is heated by a gas furnace and cooled with an electric air conditioner. It did not originally have a renewable energy source, but in June of 2020 we added a 10 panel, 3.1 kW solar array. It has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Its water comes from the City and its sanitary waste goes through the sewer. Its foundation is made from blocks and all mechanicals are in the basement.

The easiest effort you can make is tracking what resources you use on a monthly basis. This is what we have been doing at The Manor since Fall of 2016.
